1. Training objectives

1.1. General objective

The Master’s program in Animal Production is designed to help learners supplement, update and enhance their knowledge of agriculture and animal production; strengthen interdisciplinary knowledge; develop in-depth knowledge in animal production; develop the ability to apply knowledge to professional practice; work independently and in teams; develop creative thinking; and identify and solve problems in the field of animal production.

1.2. Specific objectives

Upon completion of the application-oriented Master’s program in Animal Production, graduates will possess the following knowledge, skills, autonomy and responsibility:

Knowledge:

Have in-depth knowledge of animal production; be able to analyze and synthesize specialized knowledge for application in production practice and for developing new scientific issues, perspectives and theories. In addition, graduates will acquire appropriate scientific research methods for independent research, initially develop scientific ideas, and may continue to doctoral-level training in Animal Production.

Skills:

Be able to analyze and apply specialized knowledge of animal physiology, genetics and breeding, nutrition and feeds to improve productivity, quality and production efficiency for specific livestock species and production systems; propose specific solutions for individual livestock production systems. Learners will also acquire basic skills in scientific research and training in animal production.

Autonomy and responsibility:

Have autonomy and professional responsibility aimed at producing livestock products with high productivity and quality while contributing to environmental protection and sustainable agricultural development. Learners will also demonstrate strong cooperation, systems thinking, and multidimensional, multidisciplinary approaches in research and development.
