B. Training objectives

1. General goal

The program is designed to provide advanced and up-to-date training. Upon graduation, students will be awarded a Master of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Veterinary Medicine. Graduates will possess solid professional knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to adapt to advances in science, technology, economics, and society. They will be capable of identifying and solving issues in the field of veterinary medicine. Depending on their career goals, graduates can work effectively at universities, research institutes, departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, agricultural extension centers, government agencies, or enterprises that require professional expertise and high-level qualifications in veterinary medicine.

2. Specific goal

The specific objectives of the Application-Oriented Master’s Program in Veterinary Medicine are to equip students with the following knowledge, skills, and professional attitudes:

Knowledge:

Be able to analyze and synthesize specialized knowledge in veterinary medicine for practical application in production, as well as for the development of new issues, perspectives, and scientific theories. In addition, students will acquire appropriate research and technology transfer methodologies, enabling them to work independently in research and extension activities, and to pursue further studies in a doctoral program in veterinary medicine.

Skills:

Enhance skills in diagnosis, treatment, and management of animal diseases; in designing and conducting veterinary research; and in operating veterinary service networks. Graduates will be capable of working independently in professional consultancy and veterinary policy planning, and will be able to use specialized foreign-language materials relevant to the field.

Autonomy and responsibility:

Demonstrate proper professional attitude and ethics in veterinary practice, contributing to the prevention and control of animal diseases, protection of human health, environmental conservation, and sustainable agricultural development. In addition, students will develop strong collaboration skills, systems thinking, and a multidisciplinary, multi-perspective approach in research and development. Develop autonomy and accountability in professional practice, demonstrating the ability to take responsibility for decisions, actions, and outcomes in the field of veterinary medicine; show initiative in problem-solving and a commitment to continuous professional development.
