B. Training objectives
1. General goal
The program is designed to provide advanced and up-to-date training. Upon graduation, students will be awarded a Master of Science in Agriculture, majoring in Veterinary Medicine. Graduates will possess solid professional knowledge, practical skills, and the ability to adapt to advances in science, technology, economics, and society. They will be capable of identifying and solving issues in the field of veterinary medicine. Depending on their career goals, graduates can work effectively at universities, research institutes, departments of Agriculture and Rural Development, agricultural extension centers, government agencies, or enterprises that require professional expertise and high-level qualifications in veterinary medicine.
2. Specific goal
Upon completing the course, graduates will have acquired the following knowledge, skills, and competencies in autonomy and responsibility:
Knowledge:
Be able to analyze and synthesize specialized knowledge in veterinary medicine for practical application in production, as well as for the development of new issues, perspectives, and scientific theories
Skills:
Enhance skills in diagnosis, treatment, and management of animal diseases; in designing and conducting veterinary research; and demonstrate the ability to work independently and creatively. Graduates will be capable of identifying and developing scientific ideas, exploring and experimenting with new knowledge, and organizing and performing complex tasks in veterinary practice. They will be able to effectively apply specialized veterinary knowledge to specific tasks and perform competently in roles related to research, teaching, management, consultancy, and policy planning, as well as other positions within the veterinary field.
Autonomy and responsibility:
Demonstrate proper professional attitude and ethics in veterinary practice, contributing to the prevention and control of animal diseases, protection of human health, environmental conservation, and sustainable agricultural development. In addition, students will develop strong collaboration skills, systems thinking, and a multidisciplinary, multi-perspective approach in research and development.
