Learning outcomes (Veterinary Medicine – Undergraduate – 2020)

1. Knowledge (PLO1)

• PLO1.1: Apply foundational knowledge of political science, law, physical education (certificate), national defense and security education (certificate), and information technology (Basic IT Application Certificate) to the practical tasks of a veterinary professional.

• PLO1.2: Apply foundational knowledge of natural sciences, social sciences, and environmental science as a cognitive framework to solve practical veterinary problems scientifically and effectively, meeting the demands of the Industry 4.0 era.

• PLO1.3: Apply foundational knowledge of animal anatomy, physiological processes, biochemistry, nutrition, genetics, and related disciplines in animal husbandry and veterinary practice.

• PLO1.4: Apply specialized veterinary knowledge to address practical field tasks, including disease diagnosis, prevention, treatment, and epidemic management; quarantine; slaughter inspection; and food safety and hygiene.

• PLO1.5: Apply basic principles of livestock production technology across common farm animal species within various production systems.

• PLO1.6: Apply relevant legal regulations and environmental protection principles to professional practice.

• PLO1.7: Apply supplementary knowledge regarding scientific methodology, soft skills, business acumen, and entrepreneurship in professional activities.

2. Skills (PLO2)

• PLO2.1: Identify and select appropriate solutions to address and optimize practical challenges in veterinary practice.

• PLO2.2: Formulate proposals, conduct scientific research, and execute technology transfer in veterinary medicine; analyze, interpret, and communicate findings; and assess work quality and effectiveness.

• PLO2.3: Demonstrate entrepreneurial skills to generate ideas, establish ventures, and create employment opportunities for oneself and others in an ever-evolving professional landscape.

• PLO2.4: Attain Level 3/6 proficiency on the Vietnamese Framework of English Language Proficiency (B1 Certificate or equivalent).

• PLO2.5: Guide and supervise team members in executing veterinary technical protocols and procedures.

3. Autonomy and Responsibility (PLO3)

• PLO3.1: Fulfill civic and social responsibilities within local legal frameworks and the broader context of globalization.

• PLO3.2: Work and pursue continuous learning independently or in teams; guide and supervise peers to ensure efficient task completion amidst dynamic work environments.

• PLO3.3: Adhere strictly to the professional code of ethics required of a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine.
