University of Agriculture and Forestry, Hue University, February 5th and 9th, 2026 – The Master’s graduation project defense ceremony for Cohort 30 in Animal Science took place successfully and with high academic rigor. The event featured 10 Master’s candidates coming from various agencies, organizations, and enterprises within the livestock and veterinary sector nationwide.

Assoc. Prof. Dr. Nguyen Van Duc – Head of the Office of Academic and Student Affairs, delivered the opening remarks for the evaluation boards.
Ten evaluation boards were established, comprising professors, associate professors, and PhDs who are full-time faculty members, alongside invited experts in the livestock and veterinary fields. Each candidate presented their research project to the board within the allotted time, focusing on practical issues such as high-tech applications in livestock farming, improving animal productivity, disease management, animal welfare, and sustainable development solutions for Vietnam’s livestock industry.

A highlight of Cohort 30 is the diverse professional backgrounds of the candidates – ranging from technical staff at agricultural extension centers and lecturers at specialized universities, to production managers at industrial-scale livestock enterprises. This demonstrates the high applicability of the training program, where academic knowledge is closely integrated with production practices, thereby enhancing the professional capacity of the industry’s core technical workforce.
The projects were highly commended for their novelty, practical applicability, and tangible contributions to addressing the current challenges of Vietnam’s livestock industry in the context of international integration and digital transformation.
The successful completion of the defense marks a significant milestone in the academic journey of the 10 new Master’s graduates. It opens up opportunities for them to make more profound professional contributions to the sustainable development of the livestock sector – a crucial pillar of Vietnam’s agriculture.
The degree awarding ceremony is scheduled to take place during the university’s general commencement in June 2026.
