Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine is one of two faculties established at the same time as Ha Bac University of Agriculture 2 on August 14, 1967 under Decision No. 124/CP of the Government Council. During the time was in Ha Bac (1967-1983), the most famous of the Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine was the achievement of the crossbred pig (Landrace x Lang Hong). Hence, the song “The crossbred pig” have been a traditional song of the Faculty until now. During the 55-year of establishment and development, the name of the Faculty has changed only one time: Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (1967-1994), Faculty of Animal Sciences (1994-2005) and Faculty of Animal Sciences and Veterinary Medicine (2005 to present).
